Commitment

Accessibility

We aim to meet WCAG 2.1 Level AA across this site, and we want to hear when we fall short.

The standard we hold to

This site targets WCAG 2.1 Level AA. Color contrast is checked against a token-level gate on every build, headings follow a real outline, every interactive control is reachable by keyboard, and all imagery carries alternative text or is marked decorative.

Requesting an accommodation

If any content here is not usable for you, contact us at info@meridian.org or (202) 667-6800 and we will provide the information in another format — large print, plain text, or read aloud over the phone. We do not require you to explain why.

How we test and what we know about

What we test, and how often

Automated axe checks run on every build and block a release on a violation. A manual keyboard and screen-reader pass runs before each major content change.

Known gaps

Third-party embeds (maps, video players) are not fully under our control. Where an embed cannot meet AA we provide the same information in an accessible form beside it.

How to report a problem

Email info@meridian.org with the page address and what went wrong. We aim to respond within two business days.
